The "ANIMAL HAPPY DAY" association was legally registered in Manresa on November 2, 2009 and entered into the Register of Associations of the Legal Department of the Government of Catalonia.

This is a private public organization of the animal fans, whose ultimate goal is to unify, study and register the animal and pet name days.

Thу organization supports three main types of activity:

- Creating the First International Official register of the animal and pet names.
- Ascribing a "Happy Day" to every animal and pet name day in order for all animals to be able to celebrate it in the company of their owners and friends.
- Publishing the data for registering the animal and pet names on the web-site, including their "Happy Day", the date and the country of registration.

At the same time the organization will participate in all kinds of research aimed at the name dates of animals and pets, the study of the origin of their names as well as many other activities connected with animal names (etymology, origin, meaning, number, famous names etc).

Finally, there will be preliminary consultation of the members as well as all kinds of activity meant to protect the animal rights and to achieve the respect of their dignity, both physical and mental, they being the living creatures that they are.

The association’s regulations and its activity are guided by Law 4/2008 of April 24, Book 3 of the Civil Code of Catalonia regarding legal entities, the Organic Law 1/2002 of March 22 regulating the association’s rights and regulations.
